Album cover design for the “Aurify” album by Craig Shutt, 2015. It is heavy metal music with elements of classical music, the whole thing exudes a subtle mystique. The keywords for this project were: mystery and alchemy. I made this project in ten versions to choose from, based on an illustration I had created earlier entitled “The Mirror of Life”.

This my project was featured in 2024 in the article “The Best Album Cover Designs by DesignRush” on DesignRush (https://www.designrush.com/). An interesing review of my project was written, so I present it below, quoting:

This symbolism reflects the album's exploration of deep, often conflicting emotions and thoughts. It also ties back to themes of alchemy and the complex transformation within.
The typography enhances the album's mystical feel with its handwritten style that seems to whisper secrets from the shadows. This choice makes the album cover an integral part of the storytelling experience.”
