Anna Karolak - artistic toys - the doll and its home.

Above I am presenting the toy of my authorship which in 1995 got an award in the all-Polish competition from the scope of designing toys for children. The organised competition was by the Institute of the industrial design in Warsaw under the patronage of the Ministry of National Education.
The awarded toy is wearing the name "the Doll and its home".
I modeled the figurine of the doll live of the elastic, translucent plastic mass. Wire deep in ponds enables the move of limbs of the doll. Exactly a body of the figurine is modeled, including hands and feet, "to the measure" because are being sewn toughened with corselets ensembles and made shoes.
Main decorative elements of the project, it ensembles of the doll and equipping its flat, carried out from natural products and from fabrics. There are in the realization no made elements of plastic.
I made two ball gowns for the doll. First: light blue, i.e. ball, has the toughened corselet with the bra decorated with laces, from the strip in dól is also toughened, creating the semicircular, horizontal halo round the doll. In this model I followed the example of dresses of ballet dancers. Edges of the dress are decorated with delicate fur.
The second – ball gown beige, in the bottom match is also toughened of my idea with whalebone. Here a separate corselet is attached to the set in the pink colour with the bra decorated with the rose and pink cape. Draperies and material blushes sewn on the dress are a main decorative advantage of this creation.
Shoes of the doll have the modeled stiff bottom instep and on top of they are made from the stiff lace.
A decorative top and baggies, also made from the lace constitute the underwear of the doll.
The home of the doll is a portable balls-up about dimensions: 52 x 70 x 59 cm (the height, the breadth, the depth). From the outside of home two handles facilitating its transport are fastened. The home has the taken roof, with material from the inside with the ceiling covered. Walls of the flat are also covered with material wallpapers.
A front part of the home is two door leaves which it is possible easily to dismantle. The home also has two windows, with pivoting, decorated with material shutters.
I made the sequence of articles of equipping inner lives. At home inter alia a fireplace is situated with the grate, the decorative large bed and the scientific corner. On the table an inkwell is found with the ink drawing and with the bird's feather, the twisted globe, the hourglass, wielokartkowe, tiny notebooks with decorative covers with the tape set in - with bookmark, changed vertically mirror and a lot of different. I made tiny candlesticks and one specimen of the guitar. Creating these objects as well as the entire model of the home I used exclusively natural materials: wood (which I hewed), sticks, the bark of a tree, shells of nuts, shells, glass, the decorative string, metal, wire and natural fabrics.
It is work in the integrity ecological.
At work artistic values of the entire realization were appreciated, there was a considered option of realizing the plan for the industrial scale. However this project fell through. Wasn't let the work copy too much excerpts by machine, they required in order to of handicraft.
